Created Unassigned: Title bar branch name flickers [103]

The branch name shown in the title bar of the Visual Studio window disappears from time to time in VS2008 under both Windows 7 and Windows 8.

This might be the same as the issue noted in one of the answers to http://stackoverflow.com/questions/577188/how-to-change-the-title-bar-text-of-visual-studio (Just guessing though, since I didn't look at how it's done in Visual HG.):

_Trying to set MainWindow.Caption throws an exception. You have to use the Win32 SetWindowText function to change the title, but beware: __Visual Studio resets the title bar text at the drop of a hat, so you should implement a Timer to keep setting your desired text.__ The following code from the Connect class of the add-in will permanently (or, as long as the add-in is running) keep the title bar text as "Hello World!"_

Windows 7 x64 Enterprise
after installing visualHg, under Options -> Source control visualHG plugin is not listed.

When opening a solution in Visual Studio with VisualHG enabled, all unversioned files in the repository, including those outside the project directory, are now getting added automatically.
Comments: Hi, every single file from the project directory (bin, obj etc.) has been added to repo. It does not allow to use this tool in production environment at the moment.

Using VisualHg 1.1.5 I have a problem in solution with projects from multiple repositories:
only the files/projects stored in the same repository as the solution file are handled (showing overlay icons, etc.). I am using VS 2008.
In Windows explorer with TortoiseHg 2.6 everything is working fine, though.

Comments: The icons in VS 2012 Solution Explorer are horrible. The "Clean" icon in peticular is too similar to the .cs file icon in VS2012.

It seems that the current version of VisualHG doesn't support VS2012 RTM. The icons all seem to work, but the actions in the context menu don't.
Comments: Found a solutions for this problem :) It seems that when on a 64-bit installation of Windows 8 using Visual Studio 2012 you have to install the 32bit shell extensions of TortoiseHg as well. With that, executing HG commands from Visual Studio will work. This issue can be closed :)

I'm trying to use VisualHG to clone a repository. I'm running Visual Studio 2010 SP1 with Visual HG 1.4.1 on a 64 bit Windows 7 machine.
This error seems to occur when you don't have any projects or solutions open. I don't have a solution open because I'm trying to clone a solution from an online repository.

Repro steps:
1. Open up Visual Studio 2010 with VisualHG 1.4.1 installed
2. Click the File > Visual HG > Repo Browser menu item.

Expected: Opens the Repro browser
Actual: Dialog shows a message "Object reference not set to an instance of an object."

Comments: I am facing the same issue with VisualHG 1.1.5 (latest version), with a similar stack Windows 7 (64bit) Visual Studio 2012 SP1 Mercurial v2.3.2 TortoiseHG v2.5.1

Created Issue: Folder rename is mapped as add/remove instead of rename [99]

When you have files in a folder that are already committed to hg and you rename folder then actions pending fore those files are delete and add instead of rename. This can cause file history to be lost if user will not fix this manually for instance by invoking "detect renames" feature form TortoiseHG.

Windows 7 x64 + Tortoisehg 2.4.1 doesn't generates an "is not tracked" message and adds files that have been renamed with a different letter casing to the commit untracked files. If you try and commit you get an error in the output log include the text abort: {FILE NAME RENAMED TO DIFF CASE}: file not tracked! [command returned code 255 {COMMIT DATE}]

The file with the old case exists in the REPO but HG is not detecting the change in file name case. E.G. iWindow.vb renamed to IWindow.vb isn't correctly detected as a file rename, rather found as an untracked file.
Comments: Discussion on https://bitbucket.org/tortoisehg/thg/issue/2152/file-rename-bug-when-letter-case-changes suggests that the .net project file rename should also popup the TortoiseHG rename dialog. I'm not sure that intercepting a file rename is an easy task within the VS IDE.

Comments: When I use the context menu on a folder or project to Commit or open the 'Repo Browser' nothing happens. I'll play around with some of the installed extensions (maybe something is conflicting with VIsualHg).

Comments: Forgot to mention that I'm on WIndows 8. I have UAC turned off though, so it's not a permissions issue. I'll double check if tortoisehg is installed correctly, but I don't think that's the case (TortoiseHg seems to be working fine)

Comments: Works fine for me. Make sure you have TortoiseHg installed also.
