Cloning from Visual Studio

How do I clone / checkout from within Visual Studio?

I'm coming to Mercurial from Subversion and have been pretty used to VisualSVN - VisualHG seemed to be the obvious choice for me now. However with VisualSVN I can use Visual Studio to connect to a repository, checkout the project and start working on it. At no point did I need to fall back to TortoiseSVN to checkout / clone a working folder. So I'm looking for similar functionalty in VisualHG, but can't seem to find it. The rest of my team will be coming over from Visual Source Safe and are also used to being able to just connect to the repository natively in Visual Studio.

Looking about I've seen another project (HgSccPackage - and testing that I can directly create a clone from Visual Studio, however it seems much slower and slightly buggy.
