Many hg.exe processes spawned - VS 2008 / XP / VM

Mar 29, 2010 at 8:25 PM

Using 1.08

I've run this on a normal install without issue - but on an XP virtual machine running on Windows 7 every time I open a project thats under source control I get multiple hg.exe processes spawning - this rapidly starts to consume all CPU and the system effectively locks up.

Removing VisualHG as the chose source editor allows me to open a project normally again.  TortoiseHG works fine outside of VS

Any ideas ?

Thanks

Many thanks for that - it certainly seems to have helped.

I did get quiet a lot of hg.exe processes when I opened up and 100% cpu for a little while - so I'm not sure its quiet right yet - but it settled down after 60 seconds or so and seemed quite useable after that

Processes using 100% cpu was one csrss.exe and several hg.exe - which disappear after a bit

Thanks

Hi,

Thanks for the great tool.  If I update to a different branch, I get a large number of hg.exe and conhost.exe processes.  They do not go away until I close visual studio.

I am running 1.0.8b, VS.NET 2010 Pro, and Win7 64.

thanks, Jake
